Mantra Meditation Practice

July 15, 2017

A mantra is a sound, word or phrase repeated to aid your
concentration while meditating. It is believed that while using mantras
in meditation, we eliminate negativity, making way for positive thoughts and
intentions to fill our mind.

Repeating positive affirmations such as "I am creative", "I am patient",  " I am
grounded", "I am happy", etc.,  has been proven to rewire synapses in the brain to embody these positive thoughts.

Repetition is important to achieving your goal.

When choosing a mantra, or affirmation, set an intention that compliments your
motivations for meditation. What are you looking for? Positivity, happiness, self-love, confidence, abundance, health or balance?

Here are some examples of mantras and affirmations you can use:

I am creative, I am balanced, I am energized

Today I choose to be happy

I open my heart, allowing positive energy in, letting go of negativity that does not serve me

I breathe in confidence, exhale doubt

I am capable of amazing things

Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti,
for #4 inner peace

I am peaceful
I am at peace
I am peace
I vibrate to the sound of the universe

Om Mane Padme Hum
Enlightened awareness

The possibilities are endless. Start your mantra meditation practice today.
